Lambton Shores Retains Blue Flag Status for 16th Consecutive Year

For the 16th consecutive year, the Municipality of Lambton Shores has earned the prestigious Blue Flag Canada designation at the Grand Bend Beach, Grand Bend Marina, and Port Franks Marina. In 2024, the Blue Flag designation was awarded to only 16 beaches and nine marinas across Canada.

River Road Conversion to One-Way Street

As of June 26, 2024, River Road (between Ontario Street and Alberta Street) in Grand Bend will be converted to a one-way street. It will remain a two-way street west of Alberta Street.
When? This stretch of River Road will become a one-way street as of June 26. To complete the necessary road work and sign installations, there will be a full road closure along that stretch of River Road.

The Municipality will be undertaking a construction project on George Street, west of Victoria Street in the Town of Forest. The project, which will replace the retaining wall on the north side of George Street, will commence Monday, June 10, 2024 with an anticipated completion date of Monday, June 24, 2024. Construction Notice: Kennedy Line Bridge - Watermain Connection

The Municipality will be undertaking a construction project at the Kennedy Line Bridge, east of Elliott Road. The project, which will install approximately 100m of watermain underneath the East Branch of the Golden Creek Drain, begins June 17, 2024 with an anticipated completion date in October 2024.
